Swope's Take
"Sometimes you got to give credit where credit was due," head coach
Matt Swope said. College baseball is a long year and a resume. You have a chance tomorrow to go 2-2 in the week. If you don't have losing weeks in college baseball, and you build that resume throughout the year, sweeps are about character. ...We'll work hard to come out and play cleaner for everyone tomorrow."
Super Regional Celebration
- Before the game, the Terps honored their 2014 and 2015 Super Regional teams.
- The teams were the only two in program history to reach the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Maryland finished with 40+ wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in 2014 and 2015. The Terps accomplished that feat just twice, doing so in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
- The 2015 squad won 42 games, which is tied for the second most in program history.
Up Next
- Maryland is back in action at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium tomorrow, April 7 for game three of its series with Indiana. First pitch is at noon and the game will be broadcast on Big Ten Plus and Maryland Baseball Network.
