Question: What made you start playing basketball?
Sarah Te-Biasu: I was playing soccer before and I would go play to the park and play with my friends. I would come home and watch Derrick Rose on TV and that's when I switched to basketball.
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?
ST: My mom probably influenced me the most. She is always working hard and pushing me to better and do good in life.
Q: What has been the most memorable experience of your career so far?
ST: Winning a championship my freshman year at VCU. It was a great experience going to the NCAA Tournament.
Q: What are your pre-game rituals?
ST: I always have to pray before a game.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
ST: To always keep pushing and to never give up. Your dream is always going to be hard but if you keep going you'll eventually achieve it and more.
Q: What is your intended major and dream job?
ST: My major is criminal justice and my dream job is to be a writer.
Q: Why Maryland?
ST: The family environment and the support and love the coaches showed me. They truly wanted me to be great which was nice.
Q: Favorite part of the Croatia trip?
ST: Probably the boat and having fun with everyone. It was nice to bond with everyone.
Q: If you didn't play basketball, what sport would you play?
ST: I would play left-wing in soccer.
Q: If you brought a friend to Maryland, where would you take them to eat?
ST: Canes or Chick-fil-a
Q: If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would they be?
ST: Derrick Rose, Kyrie Irving and Tupac
Q: If your sport had a mascot based on you, what would it be?
ST: A lion
