Alan Herron to Compete in 2026 Panini Senior Bowl

MOBILE, AL -- Maryland football offensive lineman Alan Herron is set to compete in the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Hancock Whitney Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET, with live national coverage on NFL Network.

The Senior Bowl marks Herron's second postseason all-star appearance this month after competing in the 2026 American Bowl on January 22.

Maryland has had eight players selected to the Senior Bowl over the last four seasons and 26 overall since 2001. Of the last 13 Terrapins to participate in the game, 12 have gone on to be selected in the NFL Draft.

Herron earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten recognition after starting all 12 games at right tackle for the Terps during the 2025 season. A native of Westmoreland, Jamaica, he helped anchor a Maryland offensive line that allowed just nine sacks, which tied for the fifth-fewest nationally and the second-fewest in the Big Ten.

A durable and consistent presence up front, Herron started all 24 games during his two seasons in College Park, establishing himself as one of the nation's most reliable offensive linemen.

Widely regarded as the premier college football all-star event and the first step in the NFL Draft process, the Panini Senior Bowl is the longest continuously running all-star game in college football, having been held in Mobile for the past 76 years. This year's event welcomed more than 900 NFL personnel representing all 32 teams, along with over 1,100 credentialed media members. The 2025 NFL Draft produced 106 selections from the Senior Bowl, accounting for 40 percent of all picks.
