2005 Raffle Winner Announced

Oct. 28, 2005

Mark Swift is the winner of Maryland's second annual baseball raffle, the team announced last night.

Over 1,100 raffle tickets were sold, including the winning stub, which was purchased Sept. 10 prior to the Maryland-Clemson football game at Byrd Stadium. Swift, of Snow Hill, Md., will walk away with 2005-06 season tickets to both men's and women's basketball games.

Head coach Terry Rupp and the baseball program would like to thank all the fans that purchased tickets in support of the team, as well as the parents who volunteered their time. Fans are invited to come out to the recently-renovated Shipley Field in 2006 to catch the Terps take on some of the best teams in the country, including perennial powers Miami and Georgia Tech. Last season, the Atlantic Coast Conference was the second-highest rated league in America in terms of RPI. Check back for more updates, as a full 2006 schedule will be posted in the near future
