The Maryland swimming and diving teams will face their ACC season opener on Saturday, November 3 against the Duke Blue Devils. The Terps will host the meet at the Eppley Recreation Center at 2 p.m.
Maryland will face Duke with an undefeated record after winning their season opener against Johns Hopkins University this past weekend. The men beat the Blue Jays, 154-108, while the women, winning 13 of 14 events, won 264-137.
Junior Andy Dilz and freshman Annie Fittin had outstanding performances over the weekend. Dilz and Fittin won a combined six events for the day, including the 200-yard medley relay and the 50-yard freestyle.
The women will face a 4-0 Duke. Duke won their ACC season opener this past weekend against N.C. State. Ashley Twichell led the Blue Devils to a 156-141 victory over the Wolfpack.
The Blue Devil men have a 1-1 record, falling 217-82 to N.C. State in ACC competition.
Maryland hopes to increase both records to an undefeated 2-0, 1-0 in ACC play. Action will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday in Eppley's Natatorium.
