Fort Pierce, Fla. - The men's and women's swimming and diving teams are training in Indian River Community College in preparation for their 2008 season opener. Senior Captain Emily Smoak weighs in on the Terps' training sessions.

"Today is the second day of our training trip down in Florida at the Indian River Community College. Although the pratices have been pretty tough, the team is really bonding and having fun. The freshmen are getting acclimated to the change of focus of training to the full extent.

"After the new year we went to the beach. It was a nice break from training and our hotel!

"For the rest of the week, I look forward to more hard training, team bonding, and sun. Our team chemistry has really improved since the beginning of the season which will really help us as we enter the second half of our season. Go Terps!"
