ANNAPOLIS, Md. -
The Maryland men's swimming and diving team returns to competition Tuesday when it travels to Navy for a meet against the Midshipmen at 4 p.m. in Annapolis.
Maryland (3-3), placed second in the Terrapin Cup Invitational in its last outing. The Terps are getting top times throughout its roster, from veteran swimmers to the talented group of newcomers. Senior Eric Cullen boasts top times in the 100 breast (56.19) and 200 breast (2:03.23), while freshman Andrew Relihan possesses three top times for Maryland in the 200 IM (1:52.26), 400 IM (4:01.42) and 200 back (1:49.41).
Navy is undefeated in meet action this season and defeated rival-Army last Thursday, 214.5-85.5, in West Point, N.Y. Maryland, which has been dominant in relays up to this point, will likely have its hands full with the Midshipmen, as the 200 medley relay is fresh off a Navy record-performance last week (1:30.41). Adam Meyer is putting a together a tremendous season, putting up record-breaking NCAA B Cut times in the 200 fly (1:43.05) and 200 IM (1:45.16).
This is the final meet for the Maryland men's team before it heads to the squad's training trip.
