New York, NY - Last week, Michelle Fedrick's victorious time of 54.81 placed her first in the 400m and 3rd on Maryland's All-time list. She continued this success at the Virginia Duels at the Armory Track & Field Center, running a lifetime best in the same event with a time of 54.41. While it was more than enough to land Fedrick in first place, this time was just .01 seconds off of the NCAA qualifying mark that Fedrick is looking to achieve.

Sprinter D'Ambour Lewis continued her consistency, winning both the 60m and the 200m races. Her time of 24.78 in the 200m places her 7th on the all-time list in this event and is her lifetime best.

In the long jump, Ashley Hendrix placed first with her best collegiate performance to date. To win the event and secure points for the team, Hendrix hit a mark of 19'2". She came back later in the meet to help with a win in the 4x400m relay.

Kelley Pry had a solid run in the 800m race with a time of 2:14.34 that moved her into the 6th spot on the all time list. She came back to contribute to the 4x400m victory with a strong leg.

Continuing the consistency she has established from the beginning of the season, Ashley Williams had a good double in the throws. She placed first in the weight throw (60'5") and second in the shot put. Senior, Kristen Reed ran a personal best in the 3000m run. Her time of 10:02.20 was 3rd overall and was just off the ECAC qualifying standards.

The 4x400m relay team of Tolu Olugbemi, Ashley Hendrix, Kelley Pry, and Melony McKay were victorious in the day's final event, contributing to the team's 2nd place finish in the meet.

The men's team also had an impressive presence at this weekend's meet. Jeremy Samuels had a strong double in the 200m dash and the 4x400m relay. He placed 2nd in the 200m with a time of 21.89 moves him into the 4th spot on the All-time list. He came back to run a fast leg on the 4x400m relay (48.32 split).

Tommy Friscia continued to show an outstanding effort in the 800m run. His time of 1:52.39 is a season best for him. Josh Davis also performed well in the 800m with a time of 1:54.53, while Max Bruno came out for his first race of the indoor season running 1:54.56. Bruno's time placed him 9th on the all time list under Davis who currently holds the 8th spot.

Jason Allen won the long jump with a solid effort and demonstrated that he is a team player by coming back to run on the 4x400m relay to help close out the meet. Floyd Hawkes remained efficient in the sprint events with a time of 22.16 in the 200m that was a personal best for him landed him at 7th on the All-time list. He also placed 4th in the 60m dash. Anthony Walker had a strong showing in the 400m with a time of 48.69 and came back to lead the 4x400m relay with a split of 48.80.

The Terps will return to action at Virginia Tech on February 26th.
