COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland gymnastics team won three of the four events in Saturday's meet against No. 17 Auburn, Yale and George Washington. The Terps claimed season highs on bars, beam and floor and scored their highest team score, 195.825, since 2004 in their celebration of senior night. Junior Abigail Adams won the all-around competition with her 39.400.
"There's always something special about senior night," head coach Brett Nelligan said. "The seniors wanted to go out with something special and the underclassmen wanted to make sure this was a special night for them."
The Terrapins also honored their six seniors, Michele Brenner, Allie Dama, Brandi George, Candice King, Margaux Meeks and Talia Tossone at Saturday's meet.
Maryland started the meet on vault, where freshman Ally Krikorian scored a 9.900 to claim the event win. Adams finished third with a 9.825. As a team, the Terps scored a 48.825.
Moving on to bars, the Terrapins combined for their highest team score of the year - 48.925. Adams led the Terps with her 9.900, which put her at third in the event. George tied her career high on bars with her 9.825. King earned a season high with her 9.700.

"Talia and Brandi have been in the fifth and sixth spot for us for four years," Nelligan said. "They have had the most consistent performances on beam we've had. It's going to be really hard to replace them."
In their final event of the day, Krikorian, Brenner and Adams were a three-way tie for first in the event with scores of 9.850. Maryland scored 49.125 on floor exercise.
