COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Black team earned intrasquad bragging rights Sunday with a 3-2 win against the Red team in the first game and a 6-2 victory in the second game on a blistery Sunday at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium.

With the victories, the Black team completed a series sweep of the Red team in Maryland's Fall World Series which began on Friday.

Junior catcher Jack Cleary led the Black team on Sunday with four RBI on the day, including the go-ahead sacrifice fly in game one of the doubleheader.

In game one of the doubleheader, the Black team took advantage of two throwing errors in the second and third innings to jump out to an early 2-0 lead.

The Red team rallied with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, but could not fully capitalize on a bases-loaded situation with no outs in the fourth.

The Black team quickly answered in the bottom half of the fifth after Charlie White earned a walk and then stole second. Following an Alfredo Rodriguez single, White advanced home on Cleary's sacrifice fly for the eventual game-winning run.

Junior Jimmy Reed relieved Haslup in the top of the seventh to earn his second save in two games for the Black team.

In game two, the Black team used a four run-fifth inning to defeat the Red team 6-2 in a game shortened to five innings due to a lack of pitching availability.

Cleary delivered a two-run double to left center, followed by a two-run insurance triple by Brent Jones to give the Black team a lead it would never relinquish.

Left handed pitcher Jamie Pashuck struck out six Red team batters in three and two thirds innings of work.
