ATLANTA - Maryland registered two NCAA B-cut qualifying times in the 200 medley and 800 free relay to kick off the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championship Wednesday.

The Terps finished ninth in the 200 medley relay with the team of Matt Meserole, Jeff Winters, Roger Dent, and Mitch Challacombe touched the wall at 1:29.75.

In the second event of the evening, the 800 free relay team of John Hauser, Challacombe, Andrew Relihan and Bradley Dillon took eighth with a time of 6:33.90.

The Terps return to the pool Thursday morning with preliminaries of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, and 100 back at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
