ATLANTA - Andrew Relihan and Mitch Challacombe tallied NCAA B-cut times in the 200 IM and 50 free, respectively, as Maryland moved up a spot in the 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship standings Thursday.

Relihan finished ninth in the 200 IM, improving his preliminary time with a 1:47.51 in the finals. Challacombe also took ninth in the 50 free, touching the wall at 20.02.

In addition the Relihan and Challacombe, the 200 free relay also tallied points for Maryland in Thursday night's finals. The team of Challacombe, John Hauser, Relihan and Jeff Winters finished eighth (1:20.78).

The freshman tandem of Bradley Dillon (4:31.10) and John Hauser (4:31.12) gave Maryland its best showing in the 500 free, finishing 20th and 21st, respectively. Other solid performances included Colin Stang (1:51.58) and Roger Dent (1:53.37) in the C-Final of the 200 IM.

The Terps, who sit in eighth heading into day three of the championships, will compete in the preliminaries of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back Friday morning.
