COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Last week, the Maryland gymnastics team partnered with Kappa Alpha Order to host their fourth annual Breastfest of Champions.

With the help of Maryland gymnastics, this year's event held on Thursday, Oct. 11, raised $33,000 to be donated to Hearts for Cancer.

"We are thrilled to participate in the Breastfest of Champions once again this year. Kappa Alpha does an incredible job with this event and we are honored to help the cause," said head coach Brett Nelligan.

The event is held on campus annually and includes an all you can eat catered meal, Breakfast of Champions shirt, professional speaker, raffles, and giveaways.

Hearts for Cancer is a completely volunteer organization with no administrative fees so 100% of the proceeds will go towards finding a cure though continued research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The organization is a Massachusetts based charity dedicated to funding breast cancer research in order to empower patients, survivors, families, and friends.

The Terps have helped raise over $70,000 for Hearts for Cancer to date.

In their continued support of breast cancer research, the Terps will host their annual `Pink Meet' on Feb. 17 against Rutgers and West Virginia.
