May 1, 2012

Final Meet Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland's track and field seniors will be honored Thursday night during the Kehoe Twilight Meet to be held at the Kehoe Track Complex, the final home meet of the season for the Terrapins.

Field events begin at 4 p.m. with the women's hammer and the women's long jump. Running events are scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m. with the 100-meter dashes.

For the first time this year, the traditional alumni mile will be named in honor of former Terrapin head coach Charles Torpey, who passed away in July 2011. He coached at Maryland from 1981 to 1988. While in College Park, he coached 20 All-ACC student-athletes, 13 ACC track champions, 10 NCAA track All-Americans, two cross country All-Americans and one ACC individual cross country champion.

Other events at this meet are named for former head coach and athletics director Jim Kehoe and former All-American Rosalind Taylor.

Admission is free and parking is available in Lot 1 adjacent to the Kehoe Track Complex.
