Van Berlo looks to continue standout singles play on the road.
Maros Horny enters his first season as an assistant coach at the University of Maryland after finishing a standout career in College Park.
As a senior in 2012, Horny earned All-ACC honors while recording 23 doubles wins and 13 singles victories. Along with partner John Collins, Horny won the USTA/ITA Atlantic Region doubles title and earned a bid to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships. He was ranked as high as the no. 21 player nationally by the ITA.
Horny transferred to Maryland for the 2010-11 season after spending his first two years at Baylor. Prior to enrolling at Baylor, he spent eight years in the Skovakia national system, where he was the 2006 Under 18 Slovak junior singles champion and a three-time Under 18 Slovak junior doubles champion.
Horny was born in Zlate' Moravce, Slovakia and majored in finance.
