As a Junior (2002): Competed at the Maryland State Championships on Oct. 5, finishing with a season-best time of 26:14.8...took 13th place at the Maryland Invitational, posting a 26:33...ran in the NCAA Regionals on Nov. 16, where he finished the 10k in 32:34.6.
Before Maryland: Won varsity letters in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at Walkersville High School in Walkersville, Md....was the Maryland State Champion in the mile during his junior and senior years...served as captain for two years...holds the MVAL conference records for the mile and two mile in indoor and outdoor track....at UMBC, won varsity letters in cross country and indoor and outdoor track...named MVP.
