As a junior: Competed in three meets in 2002…improved her 2001 time at the Navy Invitational by nearly one minute at the 2002 Navy meet…placed 19th at the Maryland State Championships…recorded season-best time at the Appalachian State Invitational.
As a sophomore: Finished with a 21:30.78 at the Navy Invitational on Sept. 8, winning 42nd place…lowered that time to 20:41 at the ACC Preview meet on Sept. 29 where she won 25th place…placed 13th at the Maryland Invitational on Oct. 13 with a time of 20:09.79, which was lower than her time at the same race in 2000…placed 45th at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Nov. 17 with a time of 19:47.4.
As a freshman: Ran in the Maryland Invitational with a time of 24:35.5.
Before Maryland: Graduated from Ocean City High School in 1999…was a four-year varsity letter winner.
Personal: Lora Jean Stutzman…born Feb. 19, 1981…the daughter of Janet and David Stutzman.
