As a Sophomore (2003): Ran in two races for the Terps, finishing 41st (25:19.6) at the Mount Invitational and 79th (23:28.0) at the Maryland Invitational.
As a Freshman (2002): Competed in indoor and outdoor track for the Terps... Set team's best mark in the 800 meter run at the Terrapin Invitational during the indoor season, winning the event with a season-best time of 2:15.44...took second at the Delaware and Invitational in the 800 meter run... in the spring, competed in four outdoor meets, once taking on the 1,500 meter run...set season-best time in the 800 at the Patriot Open.
Before Maryland: A four-year letterwinner in track ... named to the all-city and all-state teams in the 4x800 meter relay in 1999 ... all-city in the 4x800 meter relay in 2000 ... team captain in 2001 and 2002 ... was the indoor national champion in the 4x800 (8:59) in 2002 ... Arcadia Invitational champions in the 4x800 in 8:58 ... East Coast Invitational 800 meter champion ... top prep marks: 56.1 in 400 meters, 2:12 in 800 meters, 4:56 in 1500, 11:00 in 3000 meters and 65.1 in 400 meter hurdles.
