As a Sophomore (1999-00): Adjusted well to Maryland and the ACC in his first season with the Terps … had a good showing at the ACC Championships with three top-16 finishes … placed 11th in the 100-yard butterfly (49.69) and 200-yard butterfly (1:50.11) ... finished in 14th place in the 100-yard backstroke (51.84) at the conference championships … won the 200-meter butterfly against George Washington (2:05.48) and the meet with Villanova and Pittsburgh (1:52).
Before Maryland: A 1997 finalist at German Nationals in the 200-yard butterfly …swam for the University of Toledo for one year where he was twice named the Mid-American Conference swimmer of the week … Ehrhardt was also part of the Bavaria National Team.
