G'day Terps fans!
This past week has been absolutely phenomenal for the GymTerps. Each practice we had saw improvement on every apparatus. It has been rewarding to watch everyone's routines come together. It's been especially exciting to see the team master their new floor dance, featuring all new choreography!
Wednesday was photoshoot day! We had to pick our favourite pose from our beam or floor routine for our photo! It was definitely a fun way to spend our Wednesday afternoon.
To finish off an incredible week, we had a GymTerps cook-off on Sunday! We divided in to two teams – team Chefatouille and team Chef à la Terp. Both teams tackled a number of challenging recipes and then submitted their final meals to our judges (Kes, Brett and Colleen). Unfortunately, out of sheer luck, Chef à la Terp's meatloaf, roasted potatoes, kale salad and roasted vegetables came out on top of Chefatouille's quinoa salad, breaded tilapia, and polenta salad. We left the kitchen not only with our delicious homemade food, but with a variety of new cooking techniques that will stay with us forever!
Although boot camp may be over, the grind doesn't end. With our first intrasquad rapidly approaching, we have increased our intensity in the gym and are also paying close attention to the quality of individual skills in our routines.
Thanks for reading and keep smiling :)
