Hey Terp Fans!!

As we begin the start of our third straight week of boot camp, it is clear to me that we are starting to figure out what we need to do to be successful this season. Every girl on our team has the same goal and same motivation to get us through these long and challenging weeks. Although we've only had a few weeks of practice so far, our team is looking awesome, and the energy is incredibly high everyday. We all realize how lucky we are to be given an opportunity to make a name for ourselves in the Big Ten, and are all beyond excited to show them what we are made of. Brett and all of our coaches including Sean, our new strength and conditioning coach, have really been emphasizing that in order to be a champion we must live like ones everyday. Whether it is in school, in the gym, or even in our everyday lives, each decision we make from here on out, has to be one that will help us get one step closer to our goal. Our team is really grasping on to that advice and putting it into play daily.

This week was almost the same as the previous one, except on Wednesday instead of doing yoga we had an amusing pool workout. I definitely give credit to any swimmers out there because that is one hard sport. I learned that I am not as good of a swimmer as I thought. We all had fun and it was nice to switch it up a little and do something outside of the gym. One other slight change we made to the normal boot camp week was on Friday when we would normally do a Zumba workout we did something new called, hip hop shake. We all had a good time and it was funny to watch everyone try and dance as well as our instructor. Most importantly a great big shout out to Roo for being the most entertaining GymTerp on the dance floor!

As we head into this third week, we are all still focusing on the end result -- getting in our best shape to be able to beat any team that comes our way. I know it's early but I'm really anxious to show these teams in the Big Ten what we are going to do this season. I hope everyone has a great week and most importantly GO TERPS!!!
