COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland baseball team moved to No. 12 in the newest D1Baseball.com poll, the site announced Monday.

The Terps (5-1), who started the season with an all-time program best No. 14 preseason ranking, went 2-1 at the South Alabama Tournament with wins over South Alabama and SEC power Arkansas. The Terps lone loss came to No. 24 UCF, 7-6.

Maryland is the highest ranked Big Ten team. Illinois checks in at No. 25 in this week's rankings.
