COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland gymnastics team travels to Lincoln, Neb., for the Big Ten Championships Saturday.
• The Terps are in the early session and will compete against Illinois, Iowa and Rutgers at noon.

LAST TIME OUT
• Earning the Terps' highest beam score of the season, the Maryland gymnastics team earned a 195.500 at the B1G Five Meet Saturday.
•Senior Kathy Tang returned to the beam rotation and all-around competition. Tang earned a 9.700 or higher on every event and finished with a 39.100 all-around score.
• After a bye in the first rotation, the Terps began the event on floor, where the team earned a 49.150. Maryland started strong on the event with no gymnast scoring under a 9.800. Junior Leah Slobodin led off with a 9.825 and freshman Megan McClelland followed with a 9.800. Junior Emily Brauckmuller set a personal record with a 9.850 and was followed by 9.800s from freshman Macey Roberts and sophomore Abbie Epperson. Tang anchored with a 9.875.
Tang named second team all-big ten
•Senior Kathy Tang of the Maryland gymnastics teams was named Second Team All-Big Ten, as announced by the conference Monday.
•Tang ranks eight in the Big Ten with a 9.795 RQS on vault. She is 15th in the conference on floor with a 9.791 average score.
Tang has been on a hot streak recently, recording 9.850s on vault in the last two meets and tying her career high with a 9.900 against New Hampshire on Feb. 26.
maryland posts highest ncaa finish since 2001
• The Terps finished the 2015 season on a high note as Maryland finished third at the NCAA Auburn Regional, the program's highest finish since 2001 with a 195.150.
•Maryland posted a 48.950 team score on vault and hit 23 of 24 routines. The Terps did not count a fall at the regional.
