CLEVELAND, Ohio. -- Redshirt junior Patrick Gerish took home first place at the Cleveland State Open on Saturday after posting an impressive 5-0 record. 

Gerish won his first four matches of the tournament by way of fall, including a 51-second win in the second round. The New Jersey native won his 165-pound championship bout by decision over Brett Stein of Gardner-Webb. 

Redshirt sophomore Idris White also placed for Maryland, finishing fifth in the 165-pound class.
