DIAMOND NOTES
• Maryland dropped its midweek contest to Delaware Thursday afternoon at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium. That loss snapped a five-game winning streak that included a win over 2016 National Champion Coastal Carolina.
• Senior right-handed pitcher Taylor Bloom has been a workhorse in his four years in College Park. Bloom has taken over the role as Maryland's Friday night starter this season and leads the Big Ten with 22 innings pitched so far this season. Bloom's 247 career innings pitched is fifth most among active players in Division I baseball.
• Sophomore lefty Tyler Blohm has slid into the Saturday role for Maryland and tossed one of the best starts of his career Saturday at Coastal Carolina. Blohm went six innings, allowed just two runs and struck out seven.
• Junior second baseman Nick Dunn has already slugged five home runs this season, so far living up to his preseason third-team All-American billing. Dunn is batting an even .300.
