STORYLINES BY THE NUMBERS
3 – Junior Jared Bernhardt has emerged as one of the most dynamic scorers in the country this season, posting a hat trick in four consecutive games for the Terps. It's the first four-game three-goal streak of his career, while he's averaged 5.5 points per game during that span. Sophomore Logan Wisnauskas also posted a four-game streak of 3+ goals his season from February 16 – March 3.   Â
4 – Maryland's offense ranks among the most efficient in the country, as the Terrapins rank fourth nationally in shooting percentage (34.1%). Maryland's first attack line of Jared Bernhardt, Logan Wisnauskas and Louis Dubick all-rank inside the top-40 nationally in shot percentage, with the trio all scoring on at least 42% of their shot this season.     Â
5 – Maryland has never lost to Michigan, holding a 5-0 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools, which began in 2014. The closest game between the two programs came in 2016, when the Terrapins edged the Wolverines 8-7 in Ann Arbor. Â
8 – Sophomore Logan Wisnauskas racked up several weekly awards after tying his career-high in points against #19 North Carolina on March 23, as he was named the Revenant/Inside Lacrosse National Player of the Week, the Warriror/USL National Player of the Week and the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week. Wisnauskas, playing in his 28th collegiate game Sunday, stands just four points away from reaching 100 career points.     Â
9.38 – Fifth-year senior goalie Danny Dolan has been a lynchpin in the net for the Terps this season in his first year as the team's starter, ranking 10th in the country and first in the Big Ten in goals against average (9.38). He's also in the top-25 nationally in save percentage, ranking 24th (53.5%).
22 – Senior face-off specialist Austin Henningsen turned in a historical performance against the 19th-ranked Tar Heels on March 23, winning a career-high 22 faceoffs for a .846 winning percentage. The mark ranks second all-time in program history for faceoffs won in a game, behind only to Andy Claxton's 27 wins vs. Towson in 1991. Henningsen currently ranks 13th in the country in face-off win percentage (62.3%).
23 – Maryland held its opponent to under 10 goals for the seventh time this season with its 16-9 win over North Carolina, extending the team's winning streak to an incredible 23 games when holding opponents to 10 goals or less. 10 goals has been the magic number for John Tillman on both sides of the ball during his tenure at Maryland, holding a 96-11 record when opponents score less than 10 and a 98-12 mark when the Terps score 10+ goals.
27 – After an eight-goal first quarter barrage against No. 1 Penn State, Maryland's defense settled in holding the Nittany Lions scoreless for 27:57 over the second and third quarters. The scoreless stretch allowed Maryland to climb back into the game, coming within one goal in the third quarter. It was the longest Maryland held an opponent scoreless since shutting out Robert Morris for 39:50 back on March 24, 2015.  Â
50 – Sophomore Logan Wisnauskas is two points away from amassing 50+ points for the second consecutive season. The Sykesville, Md. native would become the first player in program history to record at least 50 points in back-to-back seasons as a freshman and sophomore.
