COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Four members of the reigning national champion Maryland women's lacrosse team were selected to Inside Lacrosse's Preseason All-America list, as announced by the publication on Wednesday.

Maryland landed three players on the second team with the senior trio of Meghan Doherty, Brindi Griffin and Kali Hartshorn all being selected. Junior Grace Griffin was placed on the third team. The Terps are tied with Northwestern and Syracuse for the second-most preseason all-americans of any school, trailing only North Carolina who has six. 

All four preseason all-americans were integral pieces in leading Maryland to their 15th national championship in 2019.

Doherty has started in 65 games over her three seasons as a Terp, tallying 64 groundballs and 45 caused turnovers and helped seal last year's national championship, drawing a crucial charge with two minutes left in the game.

Brindi Griffin had an incredible end of the season last year, being named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team after scoring nine goals in the Final Four as part of 44 goal, 24 assist season.

The 2018 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Grace Griffin had seven goals in last year's final four as part of her 45 goal, 57 points, 27 groundball, 14 caused turnover season.

Hartshorn was named a IWLCA Second Team All-American last season after scoring 48 goals and securing 137 draw controls, the fourth-most ever in a season by a Terrapin. 

Maryland was selected No. 2 in the Inside Lacrosse's Face-Off Yearbook's preseason Top 20. The Terps will open up their 2019 season at George Mason on February 8.
