COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Maryland women's tennis team is set to face James Madison and Mary Washington in a double header Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. respectively, in the JTCC.Â
Maryland heads into the match with James Madison 6-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play after defeating Rutgers 5-2 last Friday. The last outing against the Terps and Dukes took place in 2016, where Maryland posted a 5-2 victory.
Saturday's match against Mary Washington will mark the first meeting between the Eagles and the Terps. Mary Washington is 2-1 for the spring season, recently defeating Methodist 7-0.
No. 94 freshman Ayana Akli and junior Eva Alexandrova enter the weekend each remaining undefeated at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for the Terps.Â
