COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's lacrosse team (4-1) is back at home for its second straight home game when the Terps host Albany (2-2) at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium on Saturday, March 7. The game will faceoff at 1 p.m. and will be streamed on BTN+.

Maryland is coming off a 14-9 home victory over then-No. 5 Notre Dame last weekend to pick up the team's second top-10 victory of the 2020 season.

The Terrapins are currently ranked 4th in the country in the USILA Coaches poll, and 7th in the Inside Lacrosse Maverick Media poll.

STORYLINES BY THE NUMBERS

3 – True Freshman goalie Logan McNaney became the third Terrapin to be named Big Ten Freshman of the Week this season after posting 10 saves while allowing just nine goals in his first career start last weekend against No. 5 Notre Dame. McNaney became the first true freshman to start at goalie for Maryland since Brian Phipps made nine saves in his college debut against Bellarmine on February 17, 2007.

4 – Freshman Daniel Maltz has been a catalyst for Maryland's man up offense this season, as his four man up goals ranks fourth nationally and first in the Big Ten this season. With three tallies against Penn, Maltz became the first Terp to score three extra man goals in the same game since Xander Ritz tallied three against Georgetown back on February 25, 2006.

5 – Maryland's 14-9 triumph over #5 Notre Dame last weekend was the first victory over a top-5 team since the Terps defeated #5 Vilanova on March 17, 2018. The five-goal margin of victory was the largest for Maryland over a top-5 team since defeating No. 4 Albany 18-9 in the NCAA Quarterfinals during the Terrapins' 2017 National Championship run.

6 – Jared Bernhardt moved into a tie for sixth in all-time goals at Maryland after scoring two goals against #5 Notre Dame on February 29. The senior attackman now has 127 career goals, moving past Pete Worstell (126) and tying Frank Urso (127) on the all-time list. Bernhardt is just the fourth Terp since the turn of the century to reach the top-10 in all-time goals, joining Matt Rambo (155), Joe Walters (153) and Connor Kelly (128).

10 – Maryland is just one of three schools in the country to rank inside the top-10 nationally in both man up offense and man down defense. The Terps' EMO unit is scoring at a 54.5% clip (9th) while their man down unit is killing off penalties at an 85.7% clip.

21 – Maryland finished 21-of-21 on clear attempts last weekend against #5 Notre, marking the second game this season the Terps have finished perfect on clears (High Point, 25-25). The Terps are currently ninth in the country in clear percentage (90.2).

25 – Maryland won its 25th consecutive game when allowing an opponent under 10 goals when the Terps sealed a 14-9 win over #5 Notre Dame on February 29. Maryland has been a tough out under head coach John Tillman when allowing under 10 goals, posting a 97-11 record under Tillman since 2011.

100 – Junior Logan Wisnauskas needs just two goals to reach 100 career goals at Maryland, and would become just the 16th Terrapin in program history to reach the milestone. Wisnauskas is currently 10th in the nation in goals per game (3.80) and setthe program record for points by a sophomore (79) last season.
