COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's gymnastics team will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to compete at the NCAA Regionals on April 1.
"We're excited to be heading to the Tuscaloosa Regional," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "I'm immensely proud of all the hard work and dedication the team has shown throughout this unprecedented season. Now we're looking forward to getting out there and competing with the best in the nation."
The Terrapins will face Eastern Michigan in a play-in meet on April 1 at 4 pm. If the Terps advance, the team will compete in the first round on Friday, April 2.
Should the Terps advance, they will go head-to-head against Oklahoma, Missouri and Auburn in Session II. If the Terrapins do not advance as a team, Audrey Barber, Collea Burgess, Reese McClure and Alexsis Rubio will all advance as individual competitors to Friday's session.
Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa and Iowa State will also compete in teh Tuscaloosa region.
The top-two teams in each session will move onto the Regional Finals slated to take place April 3. The top-two teams from the final will move onto the NCAA Championships in For Worth, Texas April 16-17.
