BOWLING GREEN, OH - Senior Audrey Barber earned Second Team All-America honors in the all-around the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association announced on Thursday.
Student-athletes ranked No. 9-16 in the NQS (National Qualifying Score) earn Second Team All-America honors. Barber completed the regular season with a 39.505 NQS, the 12th highest in the nation.
Barber is Maryland's eighth All-American and first since Stephanie Giameo was a first-team honoree on beam, and Katy Dodds on vault in 2013.
Barber set numerous personal records this season, including a school record on floor (9.950), and tying the school all-around record of 39.625. Barber also became the program's all-time leading scorer this season, eclipsing a 17-year record previously held by Rachel Martinez ('05).
Barber and the GymTerps compete in the NCAA Raleigh Regionals in North Carolina from March 31-April 2.
