COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Braxton Brown picked up his 10th straight dual win and
Ethen Miller won at 149 pound, but the Maryland wrestling team fell 28-7 to No. 23 Rutgers at the XFINITY Center Pavilion Saturday afternoon.
The dual was tied 7-7 after four matches, but the Scarlet Knights pulled away with wins in the final seven bouts. Brown opened the dual in style for the Terps with this third win over a ranked foe this season. The redshirt freshman picked up a four-point near fall in the second period after starting on top and then secured a takedown in the final period.
Ethen Miller's win over Tony White was close throughout, but the redshirt freshman picked up the 22nd win of his season.
Maryland returns to action Friday night at XFINITY Center Pavilion at 7 PM when Purdue comes to College Park. The match will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
