BALTIMORE, MD - The Maryland cross country team won their first race of the season, competing in the women's 5K at the Baltimore Metro Meet hosted by Goucher College.Â

Five Terps finished in the top ten out of 89 competitors in the race, including second, third, and fourth place finishes for
Anna Coffin,
Rose Coats, and
Katie Altieri. Coffin finished with a time of 18:03.8 to lead Maryland, while Coats and Altieri both ran sub-18:11.Â

Sophia Zell finished in sixth place with a time of 18:34.9, and
Katie Turk rounded out the scorers for the Terps as she finished in 10th place.
