Terps Finish Day One Of Big Ten Championships With Three Automatic Qualifiers

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Terps wrapped up day one of the 2024 Big Ten Championships with three automatic NCAA qualifiers already in Jaxon Smith, Ethen Miller and Braxton Brown. Three are still in contention for bids in Kal Miller, Michael North and Seth Nevills.

Ethen Miller and Smith both made the semifinals but were unable to advance. The two will be able to fight for a third-place title tomorrow. Brown won two straight matches in the consolation bracket and is also alive for third place. Nevills will compete in the seventh-place match tomorrow morning.

North, Kal Miller, Dominic Solis and Chase Mielnik will all wrestle in the ninth-place bracket tomorrow morning.

Maryland is currently in 10th place in the team standings with 31 points.
