COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Week Four of the Premier Lacrosse League brought plenty of excitement as the league returned to the heart of Terp Nation.
The Pro Terps had another strong showing during the Whipsnakes' homecoming weekend in Baltimore, with standout performances across the board.
The PLL action resumes June 27–28 as the league heads west for the California Redwoods' homecoming in San Diego.
Here's a look at how the Pro Terps performed in Week Four.
New York Atlas
The Atlas secured a dominant 17-9 win over the Waterdogs in Baltimore. Brett Makar '23 once again anchored the Atlas defense, recording a caused turnover and a team-high six ground balls.
Boston Cannons
The Boston Cannons edged the Maryland Whipsnakes 13-12, holding off a late comeback attempt. Terp alum Bryce Young '18 contributed with a caused turnover and three ground balls in the victory.
Denver outlaws
The Outlaws extended their hot streak with a dominant fourth-quarter performance to defeat the Archers. Jared Bernhardt '21 led the charge, recording a PLL career-high four goals and adding an assist. Logan Winauskas '22 also made a major impact on offense with two goals and an assist.
At the faceoff X, Luke Wierman '24 held his own, winning 56% of his draws. In goal, Logan McNaney delivered another standout performance, earning his second career PLL win with 16 saves and a 61.5% save percentage.
Maryland Whipsnakes
The Whipsnakes split their homecoming weekend, narrowly falling to the Cannons 13-12 before bouncing back in dominant fashion with a 20-6 win over the Carolina Chaos.
In the victory, several Terps made key contributions. Colin Heacock '17 and short-stick defensive midfielder Roman Puglise '22 each found the back of the net, while the Terp-led Whipsnakes defense put on a stellar performance. Tim Muller '17 anchored the unit with two caused turnovers and four ground balls.
