COLLEGE PARK, MD -- With college baseball summer leagues wrapped up, let's take a look at how our Terps fared.
RYAN BAILEY, ELIZABETHTON RIVER RIDERS
Bailey pitched in 13 games for the River Riders in the Appalachian League, pitching to a 4.34 ERA and a 2-3 record. Over 18.2 innings pitched, Bailey struck out 21 batters, while tallying one save.
CRISTOFER CESPEDES, KINGSPORT AXMEN
Cristofer Cespedes recorded a 1-0 record over 12 appearances for the Kingsport Axmen of the Appalachian League. Cespedes pitched to a 5.32 ERA and struck out 29 batters.
PARKER CORBIN, BETHESDA BIG TRAIN
Corbin and the Bethesda Big Train took home the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate League Championship after a successful season. Over 122 plate appearances in 27 games, Corbin recorded an impressive .418 OBP while recording 31 walks. The infielder slugged two home runs and tallied 23 RBI.
JORDAN CROSLAND, ELIZABETHTON RIVER RIDERS
Jordan Crosland had a terrific summer, being named to the 2025 All-Appalachian League Team after hitting for a .341 batting average in 36 games. Crosland recorded 46 hits with 11 doubles and six home runs, good for a .983 OPS. The infielder tallied 38 RBI and stole nine bases. Crosland tied for fourth in the league in home runs and total bases (75), and tied for fifth in hits. In June, Crosland hit .415 with two four-hit games.
AIDAN DRISCOLL, SILVER SPRING-TAKOMA THUNDERBOLTS
Driscoll appeared in 26 games for the Thunderbolts of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate League, recording 17 hits and five doubles. The catcher notched an impressive .398 OBP while recording 23 walks in the summer season.
JAMES GLADDEN, BETHESDA BIG TRAIN
Gladden was a force out in the Big Train bullpen, contributing to the team's Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League championship season and being named to the 2025 All-League First Team. In nine appearances, all in relief, he tied for the team lead in saves with three. Gladden finishes the season with 12.1 innings pitched, 18 strikeouts and a 1.46 ERA leading to a All-League First Team selection as the closer.
EJ HANKERSON, ALEXANDRIA ACES
Hankerson helped lead the Aces to a South Division best 22-14 record in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. Appearing in 23 games, the outfielder logged 18 hits, 12 RBI and four stolen bases.
MICHAEL IANNAZZO, DANBURY WESTERNERS
Iannazzo was a steady presense in the Westerners' lineup this summer. In his 28 games in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, he collected 19 hits and nine RBI, while also drawing 17 walks.
PAUL JONES II, KINGSPORT AXMEN
Jones played a key role in helping the Axmen finish with a league-best 31 wins. In 36 games, he recorded 26 hits, slugged a team-high eight home runs and drove in 30 RBI, resulting in a .248 batting average.
ANDREW KOSHY, DANBURY WESTERNERS
Koshy had a strong season out of the bullpen, making 10 appearances this summer for the Westerners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. In 19.2 innings pitched, he posted a 3.20 ERA with 26 strikeouts and finished with a 2-1 record.
BRAYDEN MARTIN, MARTHA'S VINEYARD SHARKS
Martin was a consistent piece of the Sharks' lineup this summer, batting .309 in 110 at bats with eight doubles and 22 RBI. The Maryland native also led the team in walks with 33, resulting in a very impressive .473 OBP. Martin also cause havoc on the basepaths, stealing 16 bases which was the second most on the team. Martin's performance this summer led to a NECBL All-League First Team selection.
JAKE MORGAN, WAYNESBORO GENERALS
Morgan appeared in nine games for the Generals, making 33 plate appearances in the Valley League. Morgan was a productive piece for the Generals, recording eight hits and four RBI, good for a .296 batting average. The catcher was an on-base machine, recording a .424 OBP this summer.
JAKE YEAGER, ELIZABETHTON RIVER RIDERS
Yeager led the River Riders in innings pitched, throwing 34.2 innings over eight appearances, including seven starts. The right-handed pitcher tied for the team lead in strikeouts with 31 and wrapped up the season with a 4.93 ERA.
