A product of DeMatha High School where he earned All-America recognition and considered one of the top players in the country, Hood made an immediate impact at College Park . . . Gained one of the forward starting jobs and started all 26 games . . . His outstanding play labels him as one of the future top players in the ACC . . . His 14.2 scoring average was tops for ACC rookies at the conclusion of the ACC tournament ... He finished as the 11th leading ACC scorer . . .
