As a Senior (2011-12): Maryland's top competitor in the 400 IM (3:54.35)...boasted top five times for Maryland in the 200 free (1:41.65), 100 back (51.17), 200 back (1:45.91), and 200 IM (1:48.56)....finished 12th in the 200 IM (1:48.87) at the 2012 ACC Championships... captured 12th in the 400 IM (3:54.97)... touched the wall 15th in the 200 back (1:47.19)... won the 400 IM (3:57.27) and 200 back (1:46.89) at the Terp Cup... also took second in the 200 IM (1:50.51) and finished sixth in the 100 breast (57.18).
As a Junior (2010-11): Maryland's top performer in the 200 back and 200 IM...took third at the ACC Championships in the 200 back (1:44.60)...member of eighth place 800 free relay (6:33.90), 200 free relay (1:20.78) and 400 medley relay (3:16.52) that picked up a trio of NCAA B-cut marks...finished ninth in the 200 IM (1:47.51), another B-cut time...capped championships with seventh place finish in the 400 free relay (2:57.85), his fifth NCAA B-cut qualifying showing...part of first place 200 free relay (1:21.83) at the Terp Cup...captured 200 IM and 200 back and took second in the 200 free and 100 back... member of second place 400 medley, 400 free and 800 free relay.
As a Sophomore (2009-10): Name scattered all over the Terps' Top Times list, boasting the top performance in the 200 IM (1:47.27), 400 IM (3:52.88), 200 back (1:45.92) and 100 breast (56.30)...also had second best mark in the 100 back (49.54) and the 200 breast (2:06.91)...point scorer at the ACC Championships in five events, including a seventh place finish in the 200 IM, ninth in the 400 IM and 10th in the 200 back...his times in the 200 and 400 IM qualified as a B-cut showings...also a member of the fourth place school-record breaking 800 free relay (6:31.77), which notched a B-cut...top performer at the 2009 Terrapin Cup, capturing the 200 IM (1:50.96), 400 IM (3:58.07) and 400 medley relay (3:20.46)...also finished second in the 200 back (1:47.52) and the 800 free relay (6:43.50), third in the 200 medley relay (1:33.19) and fourth in the 100 back (50.84) and 400 free relay (3:06.70).
As a Freshman (2008-09): Landed on the podium with a third-place finish in the 200 IM (1:46.03) at the ACC Championships...established Maryland school records in the 200 back (1:44.52), 200 IM (1:46.03), and 400 IM (3:48.40) at the championships...also an individual point scorer while placing sixth in the 400 IM (3:48.42) and 11th in the 200 back at the championships......swam a career-best 100 back (51.79) against Virginia Tech...at the Terrapin Cup, finished third in the 200 back (1:49.41), third in the 200 IM (1:52.26), second in the 400 IM (4:01.42), and 15th in the 100 breast (59.89).
Before Maryland: Competed in the 200 and 400 individual medley, 200 backstroke, and 200 breaststroke while at Georgetown Prep... member of the RMSC swim club in Olney, Maryland.
Personal: Son of Frank and Julie Relihan... father played Rugby at IUP and mother swam at Old Dominion... has six siblings, including sisters, Katie, Kelly and Kayla and brothers, Michael, Sean and Ryan...undecided on major.
