Motsiopoulus' Top Dive: 1 meter - 293.93
3 meter - 266.80
As a Junior (2011-12): Took third in the 3-meter dive (252.05) and platform dive (183.52) at the Terrapin Cup... also took third in the 1-meter dive (244.95).
As a Sophomore: Sixth place in the 1-meter dive (206.55) and 3-meter dive (205.85) at the Terp Cup.
As a Freshman (2009-10): Recorded the second best mark on the team in the 1-meter (273.33)...also tallied third best score in the 3-meter (2:39.02)...finished 14th in both the 1- and 3-meter at the 2009 Terrapin Cup...also took 26th in the 1-meter and 27th in the 3-meter at his first ACC Championship appearance.
Before Maryland: Played water polo for three seasons in addition to diving at Loyola Blakefield...four-time champion in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association in the 1 meter...finished fourth in the Eastern Championships in 2007-08 and second in 2008-09...led the Dons' water polo squad to three consecutive second-place finishes in the MIAA as a goalie...also competed with Pro Action Sports - Diving and Trampoline.
Personal: Son of Christos and Diana Motsiopoulos...has one brother, Alexander...came to Maryland because of diving coach Anton Slobounov...Letters & Sciences major.
