CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - The Maryland men's swimming team took sixth in the 800 free relay to lead the Terps on day one of the 2012 ACC Championships Wednesday.

The team of John Hauser, Andrew Relihan, Bradley Dillon, and Sean Stewart picked up a season-best, B-cut time of 6:33.11.

Maryland also finished eighth in the 200 medley relay. The group of Matt Meserole, Anderson Sloan, Jeff Winters, and John Hauser finished with a season-best, B-cut performance 1:28.24.

The Terps are tied with Clemson in eighth place in the team standings heading into day two of the championships Thursday.
