Championship Tradition
From the 1928 team that was awarded a Gold Medal to the 7-0 1936 squad that was named the school's first USILA champions to the record-setting 1975 title team, the University of Maryland men's lacrosse program has been competing for championships.
In addition to 10 championships prior to men's lacrosse being recognized as an NCAA sport in 1971, the Terps have won two NCAA titles (1973 and 1975) and have played in seven more title games, most recently in 1998.
Maryland has appeared in 10 straight NCAA tournaments. During that time, the Terps have reached the NCAA championship game in 2011 and 2012, appeared in five Final Fours and reached at least the quarterfinals nine times.
The Terrapins have also won 26 ACC titles. The other three ACC schools have combined to win 37 titles.
