Honored Terps
The Maryland men's lacrosse program has a long history of its student-athletes being recognized for outstanding performances on the field and in the class room. Some notable examples are:
- Brian Dougherty: The latest of 32 Maryland players or coaches to be inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
- Joe Walters: The only Terps to be a two-time recipient of the ACC Player of the Year award.
- Gorgan Murray: One of seven Terps to be named ACC Freshman of the Year.
- Dick Edell: The Big Man was named ACC Coach of the Year three times and was the USILA's national coach of the year in 1995.
- Grant Catalino: One of only four Terps to be named MVP of the ACC Tournament.
- Matt Hahn: The only Terp to earn NCAA All-Tournament honors twice.
