Lincoln, Neb. – The Maryland Gymnastics team fell for only the second time this season by a final score of 196.175-193.525 to Nebraska.
The Terrapins earned a season low 193 for the first time this season.
Maryland opened the meet on bars with a team score of 48.075 highlighted by sophomore
Sanya Glauber's 9.800.
Maryland earned a solid 48.900 on vault. Impressive scores came from sophomore
Alexsis Rubio (9.825), freshman
Emma Silberman (9.825) and senior
Alecia Farina (9.800).
Junior
Sabriyya Rouse posted a 9.850 on floor leading Maryland to a 48.725 team score.
On beam Maryland earned a 47.875 led by senior
Tiara Wright who tied for first in the event with a 9.850.
Maryland returns to action on Sunday, February 16 to face Rutgers in the XFINITY Center. This will mark the fifth annual Beauty and the Beast meet with a wrestling match occurring on the same floor as gymnastics.
