First Game Of Terps’ Weekend Series With Iowa To Resume On Saturday

Weather forced the remainder of Friday’s game to be continued on Saturday. Iowa leads Maryland 6-4 in the sixth inning.

IOWA CITY, IA — With the Hawkeyes leading Maryland 6-4 in the sixth inning, the remainder of Friday's contest between Iowa and the Terps has been suspended until Saturday due to weather. 

Nate Hawton-Henley has already homered in the contest and David Mendez has plated a pair of runs with a two-RBI double. Hawton-Henley's homer marked the second of his career while Mendez extended his hitting streak to 12 games.  All of Iowa's runs came in the third inning on two homers and an RBI double. The game will be concluded on Saturday at 2 PM ahead of the second game of the weekend series, which will start roughly 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first on B1G+.
