Terps in Professional Lacrosse
Maryland's influence in professional lacrosse spans three leagues and ranges from the playing field and the coaches' box to league executives.

More than 40 former Terrapins have played professionally in Major League Lacrosse, including 2012 grads Joe Cummings (Ohio Machine) and Drew Snider (Denver Outlaws). Former Terps Lee Zink and Jeremy Sieverts were named the MLL's Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player, respectively, in 2012.

Maryland has also had 24 former players compete professionally indoors in what is now known as the National Lacrosse League, including Joe Walters, who helped the Rochester Knighthawks win the 2012 NLL Championship.

The latest and most innovative pro tour in lacrosse, LXM Pro, was founded by former Maryland All-American Scott Hochstadt. The tour combines youth clinics, live concerts and professional lacrosse exhibitions in a festival style atmosphere. Eight former Terps have suited up for LXM Pro.
