COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland baseball team will contest its Fall World Series starting this week at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium.
Game one of the three-game series is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25 with first pitch set for 2:45 p.m. The second matchup will take place Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 3:50 p.m, while a date/time for the final contest has yet to be determined.
Maryland is coming off a 29-29 season and will open the spring season on Feb. 14, 2020 at Charleston Southern. The Terps boast 2019 All-Big Ten honorees Randy Bednar and Michael Pineiro as well as the reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Maxwell Costes.
The Terps' final fall scrimmage vs. St. John's – originally scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 27 – will now be played on Nov. 3 with first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m. at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium. Admission will be free.
