COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland wrestling team lost 29-6 to Michigan State on Friday night in the XFINITY Center Pavilion. The Terps (5-10, 0-6) won two bouts on the day, with victories coming at 149-pounds from
Michael North and 174-pounds from
Dominic Solis.
North picked up a decision victory at 149-pounds, using quick offense and timely defense to defeat Peyton Omania. Solis also picked up a decision victory after a pair of takedowns and over a minute and a half of riding time. No. 13 184-pounder
Kyle Cochran and No. 23 197-pounder
Jaron Smith both wrestled hard on the night but ultimately fell 3-2 and 5-3, respectively.
It was also alumni night for the Maryland wrestling team on Friday night and dozens of former Terps made the trip to College Park and were on hand for the dual-action.
