ORLANDO, FL - Day one of the UCF Black and Gold Challenge proved to be a strong start for the Maryland Terrapins track and field team. Highlighted by a tied school record and an additional six top-10 all-time program finishes.

Naaema Robinson tied the school record in the 200 meters at a mark of 23.79 seconds; the previous record time was set 24 years ago in 2002 by Toni Jefferson at the ACC Championships.

Roman Spikes turned in a new second best all-time performance in the 200 meters at a time of 20.80 seconds.

Armanie Coleman set a new second best all-time mark in the 200 meters as well with a time of 23.83 seconds. The junior previously held the program's third fastest time.

Evelyn VanZwieten recorded a fifth best all-time performance in the javelin throw at a distance of 41.41 meters.

Mehdi Guerrah clocked a time of 51.19 seconds to set a new seventh best all-time mark in the 400 meter hurdles.

Calvin Kilgallon recorded a new ninth best all-time performance at a time of 3:46.86 in the 1500 meters.

Eva Rogers at a clip of 4:27.40 set a new tenth best all-time mark in the 1500 meters.

Other notable performances included Victoria Teasley setting a new personal best in the 200 meters at 24.45 seconds. Andrew Harmon and Fin Essley both turned in top five meet performances in the hammer throw at 60.68 meters and 59.33 meters respectively.
